Sam Maloof in the House

Sam Maloof is one of the most influential furniture designers from the United States. Here at Dan Moderne our mid-century Danish furniture is inspired from Maloof’s designs. Below one of Maloof’s pieces sits as art within the famous Stahl House in California designed by architect Pierre Koenig.

Through to the Queensland AIA Awards

Dan Moderne was recently involved in furnishing a home for the 2011 Regional AIA awards (scroll down to read the original post) and is excited to hear the project has progressed to the Queensland Finals. The converted warehouse in Brisbane’s Spring Hill which once served as storage facility for a local Esky manufacturer is now a beautiful two bedroom apartment. The shots, which recently appeared in Brisbane News, may be the coming of age for architect Yuri Dillon who goes up against past winners Donovan Hill and James Russel for the residential catagory award. The Dan Moderne Team wishes him best of luck.
